The existence of this video has made me realize that the structure of society is changing.

The old system where everyone is either a Boss or an Employee and working in a structured environment like a company is being dissolved by increased communication. People can start their own niche businesses that serve a customer base which is small and distributed all over the world.

It pains me to use the term "digital society", but the people who are breaking the mold in the biggest way right now are all the internet graphic designers and programmers and writers who are taking advantage of the freedom that unfettered communication with the world gives them and using it to become their own bosses.

It's similar to the way society used to be before industrialization. People would live in small communities, and these communities would, for the most part, be responsible for producing everything necessary for life. They were full of craftspeople creating baskets and cloth and wagons and farm implements, and the greatest part was that these people were free to work whenever they felt like it and benefitted entirely from their labours. If they worked 10x harder and made 10x more product, they recieved 10x more money! There was incentive to care about your work, as opposed to a structured corporate environment where you're a cog in a big machine whose purpose you can't quite discern from so far inside.

I'd love to encourage this movement by creating "something" that could help everybody make the transition from Employee/Boss to Freelancer. Something that would empower people to get their niche product/service out there easier. Or, maybe just a time-management tool like the one described in the movie Time Management for Anarchists (which is like Getting Things Done except funnier).
