Concept

Subatomic Phootball is a sports game that combines the best elements of football, soccer and hockey (fast action and lots of violence), but with a twist.

The Twist

All the players are atoms, and game is based off crazy physics rules!

The rest of the idea

I was initially thinking it could be a regular sports game where the ball was a photon, and other players would absorb the photon and have to deliver it to the endzone without having another player steal it (by colliding at a high enough velocity that the photon gets ejected from their cloud and rebounds around the arena until another atom absorbs it).

But, Luke had a cooler idea where the goal of the game is to cause a nuclear chain reaction on the opponent's side, and you get abilities like:

• Beta decay defense
• Proton passing
• Electron tackles
• Heisenberg uncertainty cloud

I'd love it to be an educational game, but fun is more important. I mean, everything doesn't have to obey the laws of physics exactly. I think it's good enough to use the names of physics concepts like "beta decay defense" so that kids will be learning the terms which they can look up if they actually care.

Of course, if it could obey physics and be fun, that would be killer!
