- There are a lot of pages about types of stone on dfwiki. Joe wants to discuss a common layout for ALL of the pages and be able to find it and stuff.
- Joe selects (or creates if it does not exist) category:stone and then starts discussing the layout of pages in the category.
Adam wants to know if there are any discussions that might affect the page, so he <verb?> obsidian and checks the discussion tab on the obisidan page and sees the discussion Joe started.
- Adam wants to be able to tell what each person said, and what they were responding to. He also wants to know what other pages this discussions out come might affect.
- Adam also wants to be able to easily figure out what posts were made by the same "ip-editor" (anonymous, no username).
- 24.20.138.23 wants to edit without signing in, but doesn't want their IP address shown everywhere.
- Jane notices that the discussion has moved to potentially affecting more than just pages in the stone category. She wants to add the other pages it might affect. She only needs to add the page "water" to the discussion and it clearly doesn't belong in the stone category. Jane needs to add an individual page to an existing discussion.
- Adam wants to be able to know at what point the discussion started encompassing more than just stone -- that is, if he saw the discussion after Jane added water, he wants to be able to tell that water was not initially included in the scope of the discussion.
- Joe sees that some people are talking about completely unrelated things in the stone discussion. He wants to be able to have the unrelated posts removed from the discussion.
- Jane sees that people moved discussion into a different topic (though in a logical procession), she wants to be able to move these into their own discussion, and let the stone discussion continue undisturbed.
- Sam wants to see if there are any fairly active discussions. He checks the wiki index and find the stone discussion.
