Music Management Application

A next-generation music management program, for savvy people.

  • intelligently groups music by artist, album, or directory (let user specify which -- select group of files and "group by tags" or "group by dir", or even "group manually")

  • links to content that's playing (i.e. when it shows artist/album/track, clicking artist/album shows all by artist, or all in album, and track seeks to the current track in the playlist)
  • separate browsing the music collection from anything involving the playlist -- the playlist should be like a small palette while browsing

  • dragging a directory from a folder and dropping it on the music database automatically moves the directory for you, and indexes the mp3's
