Concept
The Mixed Member Proportional voting system (1 ballot, 2 votes) that was drafted by the Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform is a slightly more fair voting system. I mean, come on! You get one more vote!
The awareness pamphlet that was mailed to Ontario residents before the referendum was ridiculously slanted and very badly written.
It's a shame, because it was produced through an inspiring process of democratic thinking. A group of randomly selected citizens were called together to learn about the current voting system, other voting systems in the world, and to discuss and weigh the benefits of the different voting practices.
I think a documentary covering the people involved in the process would be great, and might change people's minds about the MMP system. It could consist of interviews with the members, and possibly footage of the actual discussions (if somebody was forward-thinking enough to film the proceedings).
Questions
Does MMP really matter in lieu of the state of the Money system?
