Remote Computer->TV Interface

This will be a cheap and easy solution for hooking your computer up to your TV set, with a remote control whose functions you can set to do whatever you want on the PC.

It'll be a small box that plugs into an RCA jack, S-Video cable, or maybe even your monitor output (with a passthrough). This box will have a connection to another box which is hooked up to your TV. They could communicate via:

• Coaxial cable
• Unused frequency of a POTS phoneline in your house (non-interference with ADSL)
• Wireless connection

X10 has already done this, but it's probably LAME. The key to having a good system is awesome software that lets you turn your TV into a media centre, without having to buy an expensive media centre.

At the very least, it has to have a good remote-controllable interface for navigating and playing the media on your hard drive.
